Our mission
We believe that when a local economy runs on Bitcoin, new opportunities open up for the people inside it — merchants who could never qualify for card processing, families priced out of banking, and neighbours who simply want to earn and spend directly with each other.
Bitcoin Adoptions is a charity, locally led and funded by donations. We do two things: we promote the Bitcoin businesses and organizations already serving the community, and we accelerate person-to-person Bitcoin adoption on the ground using the Bitcoin Starter platform. Every contribution goes back into the merchants and individuals we onboard.

Using Bitcoin Starter, we sit down with individuals and merchants and help them set up self-custody wallets, understand the basics, and take their first peer-to-peer payment. No banks, no middlemen, no jargon.

Every newly onboarded wallet plugs into a growing local loop of merchants and neighbours — so people can earn and purchase directly from each other, without going through banking.
